    i did see a list of Prius owners per capita and seattle-tacoma ranked 2nd but it wasnt by state, it was by region. northern VA was first (attributeable to having the worst commuter traffic to DC and the HOV exemption)

    in the state list it was just sheer numbers and it was Cali, Virginia, New York and WA (Cali had more than 3 times more Pri's than VA) . but this list is now about 3 years old.
