Nice shot! Now, if I can get that in a framed 8x10 print, I'll hang it up in my garage so the car has a memento of its long cruise. We have the same "in transit to port" date, 2/27, so I was expecting my car was on the same ship. I just got a call yesterday from my salesman confirming the car is getting close, so it sounds like that was definitely correct! He received a status update that usually indicates the car was taken off the boat. The ship was sailing past Atlantic City at the time, but arrived in port a few hours later, so that's pretty close. He proposed 4/10 as his best guess for a delivery date. (He's on the western extreme of NY state.) I'm going to be in his area on 4/9 for other reasons, and he thought that was very likely to work out, so I think he was giving me a worst-case estimate. I guess he'll get a more firm date as processing completes. Joe.
I'm NOT happy at all.... I wish my delivery dealer where so diligent on providing information. What this means is that I have to call the dealership and bother them about my car's location and status. Grrrrr
As I said before, my salesman was worthless. This led to a great deal of frustration. Even though Toyota sent me an email saying the car was on the way to the dealer, he was still saying three more weeks. Just unbelievable. However, once I got in contact with the Sales Manager who knows about ordering, things settled down. I got my car yesterday. To sum up, I got my email from Toyota on Friday. My car arrived at the dealership Monday morning. We spent about two hours at the dealer in order to actually get the car - paperwork, attempts to sell warranty extensions, a briefing on the car's functions, etc. When we arrived in the afternoon, they still needed to wash it. Had to wait on that, too. In any case, I have it! It's an amazing car. I left the dealer with 7.8 EV range and a full tank of gas. My drive home was on city streets and in a very hilly area. I also had to climb from sea level to about 1000 feet to get to my house. On the trip home, I averaged 68mpg, but I still had 1+ EV range left. Not bad, heh? Good thing I didn't run off the road looking at all the distractions in this technological marvel of a car! Color me happy. Winter Gray Metallic, Advanced Package
So I know I'm not waiting on a plug-in but my C was on the Pyxis which arrived at LB port on the 19th. It still has not arrived at my dealership, Carson Toyota. I do not know what to think! I understand they are backed up or whatnot but I'm really antsy. It never took this long with my other cars. I was told some PiPs that came off the same boat have not arrived and the C's came out after them! Who knows when I'll take delivery!!! I'm beginning to lose hope on whether I will ever get the car :mmph: lol, seriously
Starbrite's car is here! Yay!! I just figured I'd let EVERYONE, even STARBRITE know, that her RED PRIUS C is HERE! YAY!
That delivery date sounds about right. Catching that picture was pure luck as I just sat down after getting home from work. Saw on Marinetraffic it was about to pass the Verrazano bridge and I happen to find a live streaming web cam looking that way just as it passed by. For those waiting to catch a glimpse of their ship it'll probably pass by this too. Here's the web site: NY Harbor Webcam - A New York Harbor Scenic and Cruise Ship Web Cam
are you getting any info on the my order page? it should show the date it went on the high seas. from there, you can figure which ship it's probably on.
Re: Starbrite's car is here! Yay!! ... and not only is Starbrite's car here, but Starbrite is here too! With her "entourage"! You guys were very supportive - thank you!
The Pyxis delivered our blue PiP to Long Beach on 3/19, and it arrived today at our San Diego dealer. We took delivery tonight and had a great experience with Mossy Toyota Pacific Beach! Reading the other posts, it looks like we've got a few other blue PiPs gliding around San Diego now (or soon will), but so far our PiP is the only one I've seen in the wild!
EXCELLENT and congrats! I expect mine to arrive at my dealer any day now - after all it is a whole 70 mile drive from Benicia to Sacramento and the ship docked mid-day Monday. Now, Please see my worried post titled PiPular Mechanics and let me know what you think, since you just picked up your baby, if you wouldn't mind.
Congrats, neighbor.... mine is still on Altair Leader... week or so away(( Now that you have it for one day... Have you charged it yet? Do you have a dedicated outlet or just used a regular in the garage? If so, did it work?
