I got the same message about the shipping to the dealer and that there would be no more email updates from the website. I think that basically means that it's been transferred from Toyota Japan to Toyota USA and cleared customs. So these ships carry 100? cars and need to be trucked 6 or 8 at a time to their destinations. Hopefully Boston area is 1 truck and your Tuesday date is accurate. As of Thurs daily sheet my rep doesn't show any estimated delivery for me. I have to keep emailing him to get info even if he says he'll let me know and it's no rush since I've waited so long. Problem is that I've got to time the selling of my car.
Does anyone know how to disable reverse beeping on PIP? Used to be so easy on 2006. Why are they so persistent with this stupid feature? Searched the threads, mostly old ones.
If you have a Scangauge II with the right firmware you can do it yourself, I did mine in under 5 minutes. Others have had the dealer do it for them.
for the new england people, mine was on the csav rio and took a week from dock (new jersey) to dealer, framingham, ma.
Almost two weeks from Port to VA Dealer! But the wait is over, I'll be picking it up on Tuesday. Feb, 26 Build Mar, 03 Shipped Apr, 01 Newark Port APr, 13 Dealer
Thanks Bisco. My ship left last monday, and my dealer said this tuesday. Im in Bridgewater Mass. Its like 8 months of waiting, and the last 3 weeks have been the longest. Mike
bilofsky- The Texas Highway might not arrive at the exact time/day that is expected- I noticed that the Pyxis Leader arrived on the 17th instead of the 16th which it was scheduled for. . . So you might not have to be up in the wee hours of the morning to watch it come through the SF Bay
How long does it typically stay in port? The Pyxis Leader is in Benicia right now just got in last night around 1am. I am waiting for it to come down to Long Beach...
The stay is brief. A day at most. Then a day to Long Beach. I bet you're looking at the end of the month to dealer. Mine just today showed "arrived at port", and it's been there since last Monday 4/9. I have been told that it might be delivered this week, but nothing definitive yet. I would suspect that something during the process of preparation in PORT triggers the "arrived in port" tag. Maybe as the car completes its prep and is assigned "freight" status it triggers the tag and e-mail. But that's just an educated guess on my part...
I'll keep an eye out for it. This web site saw the Pyxis Leader 17 hours before it came through the Gate, so there should be plenty of warning for the Texas Highway. After it gets closer in it'll be trackable here. Not that I have anything better to do ...
Went to the dealer, and it has not come in. They said "we get trucks everyday". He went to the manager, and they said that his board only showed an ETA of today. My head is spinning. -Mike
OUCH !!! im a huge sox fan, and that moron is not helping at all... You have 5 different teams to choose from ... LA,SF,AN,OAK,SD You peeps in California are so Yahooooooish, you cant figure out which team to rot for....
Bobby didn't help us in San Diego when he was here. And he was actually playing a position in those days and not just running his mouth! Sadly, we still don't have a major league team down in the far southwest corner. AAAA at best. Anaheim is the closest real major league team. But to keep this all on-topic, maybe we should figure out how to get BV on one of the car carriers as it makes its return trip to Japan!
Bisco, keep the faith.. All you need is to watch the 04 playoffs with the yankees. To stay on topic, Valentine could not expedite my car, let alone motivate a human at his job. Bisco, do you have yor car ?
