    Surgut town, Tumen region.
    RHD drive is all over Russia, just in Vladivostok, much more.
    Photo will be late, after weekend.
    CNG on my country is very bad - no refills, and very little can be reached at a gas station

    I'd love to have a CNG converted prius. I could fill it up at home for 1.6 cents per MJ :D

    BTW petrol here is equivalent to about 4 to 5 cents per MJ (150 cents per liter and 33 MJ per liter approx).

    Installation was carried me on their own. Valtek 30 upp is 0.45 mm, holes 1.5 mm, pressure 1.1 bar. Fuel consumption will inform further.

    I bought a car a few months ago and not yet ready to say that either of the winter operation. I can say for sure that I will be installing heating engine similar webasto and may be car alarm with a remote start engine. I know car salon warm in extreme cold for long.

    Hi

    Could you show your map and modeling card of the KME software please?
    What offset and mult parameter you using?
    How easy was it to get a Map in a specified RPM?
    I'm converting my Prius with KME Diege System to LPG/GPL.
    Tank is installed (58L). I'll continue next weekend.

    Anyone of the LPG /GPL user of the 1.5 l Prius engine thought about the valve clearance and checks?
    I had a Subaru with 'soft' valve seats that had more valve checks or LPG than on gasoline.
    Any experiences yet?

    Time to revive an old but amazingly interesting thread :)

    Anyone know if LPG conversion is possible in Australia? Apparently they can only use Euro 2004 approved kits here. Am waiting on a reply from one of the places that do conversions.

    With LPG at around half the cost of petroleum and widely distributed I can see the advantages. But one of the problems in au will be satisfying a fairly stringent retrofit tank, because they want a sealed cofferdam between the tank and the cabin. Personally I cant see any way around that unless some space, enough for a decent capacity, can be gained from the removal of the petrol bladder

    I'm also interested in a LPG conversion in OZ, it'll half my (already cheap) fuel bills and makes much more sense than PHEV (for my usage).

    Hi Prius Fans,

    Can you please tell me, if you have any information regarding increased engine issues/wear or any official responses from Toyota regarding converting Prius to run on LPG. I'm looking to actually to convert the new hybrid Auris, which should have the same engine.

    A large number of car rides on LPG. Generally, when properly installed, no problems in the engine and the car is not observed. Type of vehicle and engine is not important.

    Great job. Re: poll I would consider this more for my *other* car than my Prius. Good question about LPG availability, used to be good due to refilling propane tanks for barbeques, but now we just trade-in empty tank for a full tank.

    P.S.: a friend of mine in Germany has an LPG converted car too (spare tire port tank).
    Just saying, USA talks about alternatives, but we like to pick "winners" (eg; EV) instead of opening the field for all options. I cannot think of a good reason why LPG is cheaper in Europe, except taxes on gasoline are so high there.

    In fact i'm in Mauritius Island... Google for it & here its Summer:)

    In fact i actually have a LPG (Lovato) installed Nissan fb15 for 8 years... still running done over 100K KM since converted. it does 1L/10KM LPG in traffic jams/mixed

    I'm thinking over either a axio fielder or a prius like yours since we get recon cars from japan.

    IAlready got some experience with conventional cars conv with LPG... but as for prius??? i fear sensors & valve wear (since i presume the engine block is not the same a a conventional block as for corolla?), etc.

    If we consider having 5L/100KM(Petrol)... money speaking: I'm now getting half as much with my old nissan. (our price of petrol >= 2 times LPG)... then LPG conversion is tickling my mind :mod:

    What's your experience till now?

    Have you enquired about Valve wear?... I've read about lubricants for that... vlube... something like that.

    Hey mandrei83! I came to idea to make this kind of change too, then googled and discovered your thread here! Really great work! Thank you for that! :) Quite some time has passed, any update on that? I was contacting local service providers, they made me an offer around €1140 for IV generation LPG system and told IV is the latest could be mounted on 2nd gen Prius. Which generation did you use on your/friend's car?

    Did some research on Lexus RX400h a few years back but could not find anything on them... Thought the engine was not suitable for some reason...

    So very (pleasantly) surprised to find this thread :D

    Should do it quickly, as in 2012 and 2013 I don't pay roadtax on my Prius, and LPG roadtax is higher than gasoline*. So may even save myself the increased roadtax for the next two years!!!

    As a matter of fact, I'll give the government agency that controls this a call to verify.:cheer2:



    * why LPG roadtax is higher than gasoline (less polluting = more expensive) is one of the best kept secrets of the Dutch government: no one seems to know. :confused:

    @simonthegreat: I would strongly recommend it to buy yourself all the components required to do this mood, they will cost you about 600EUR with the shipping in your country. Then, if you want a good work, go to my friend from Romania and he will do it for you for max. 200EUR. I wouldn't count that the service which has made you that offer will put you the latest STAG-300 Plus kit... So, take care and good luck with your mood!:)

    @R-P: Netherlands it's quite a special country, from the car taxes point of view...:)
    I would strongly recommend you to install this LPG kit in a foreign country and not to declare in NL to your authorities if you will put LPG on it and will cost you more. Go to my friend from Romania, as advised to simonthegreat user.
