    The Aztec looks pretty streamlined.

Now the Jeep Wrangler, one reviewer, fondly I think, described it as having the aerodynamics of a "garden shed", lol.

It's related to the Buick Rendezvous. I don't know how many have been sold, but my friend still likes his Buick version.

The Aztek concept was well received by the press and public, which is why GM decided to offer a production one. To keep costs down, a minivan platform was used as the base of the design. The taller firewall of that platform is would greatly changed the production car's profile from the concept, and lead the model from being loved to hated.

That truck is so clean it gleams. The two guys at the back are in near-matching, freshly laundered duds, white gloves. If anything falls outa the sky they're ready with their hard hats. One has apparently spotted an errant ort of garbage, reaches to retrieve it, while his partner runs quality control on the operation. (y)

Our "Refuse Collection Service", has one guy driving his spiffy truck which sidles up to the correct trash can(one of 3 possible: Trash, Recyclable, and Lawn Waste, designated by color.), and operates a lift system to pickup and empty the chosen container into his truck! Very clean and apparently efficient!

We have a similar system, two trucks come by with grabbers, one for "garbage", one for compost/kitchen scraps. And a third, more old-school truck, for the recyclables.

Giving away age here - no one remembers how everyone had galvanized cans? Gone are the days when the garbage man would actually have to get off his seat & strain his back lifting galvanized cans into the truck. Bashing them out of shape (on purposr) they would become like jagged/disease-laden leaky, flesh cutting eye sores - waiting to cause germy infections.

At least they more or less held together, unlike our marvellous piece of $@#*^%!! plastic blue bins for recycling.

Another good thing about metal trash cans was that they kept the rodent populations down. Varmints can eat their way through plastic trash cans.

Seems that communities in the U.S. have good methods for disposing of garbage; we need to apply that practice to Washington D.C.!!

Gomi (garbage) is a serious matter in Japan! Typically you sort into burnable, non-burnable, and recyclable, and there are pickups at least twice a week.

There's a separate gomi guy who will swap old newspapers for toilet paper, and his truck plays a special song.

I seem to have channeled "GeneM" with the above. A vet with a perchance for acquiring old cameras, and processing any film he finds in them. He would scan and post anything salveagable, and his gently ribbing commentary was priceless.

One reason for owning a wagon bodied "car" is that our county offers free (taxed but not separately) refuse disposal at three sites in the county and one just happens to be on my way to any store in town. Trash in bags and recyclables dumped into a bin at the station fit just fine in my trunk and I deliver perhaps once a week at no more cost than a half block out of my way on a trip I'm making for multiple reasons. We generate about a xerox box full of papers in newspapers and magazines a week and a 3' by 3' by 3' box of various recyclables.

Yes there are "we pick up at your curb" trash services and about 30% of the locals use them but as long as I'm able I'll do it.

I think it would be interesting if this Supra concept becomes the first EV toyota puts into production.
No worries about it cutting into the prius market either
