It's about the batteries they plan to have out in 5 years. Which they originally talked about in June, to hedge off the investor revolt. Think it came up in multiple thread here at the time.

I would love love love to have a plug-in Tacoma with about 35 or 40 miles EV range. But the way Toyota runs now? I'd have to pay probably $10,000 over MSRP

Ironically, Kia / Hyundai just started doing stuff - ev wise - rather than running it up the flagpole w/ lots of news feeds & fanfare hmmm - what an odd way to do things modernly.

The annoying thing is the slide where they said the bZ4X takes ~30 mins to charge 10-80%. No it doesn't! Not even the 150kW version. Every US test of the FWD version took almost an hour and they didn't even start at 10%!

    https://www.thecarconnection.com/news/1138558_test-drive-2023-toyota-bz4x-fwd-goes-long-but-comes-up-short

This person got the closest to the advertised time but arrived at the charger at 0%. (Although in Toyota's defense, 0% on the bZ4X is more like 10% usable SOC left)
