Let us know. It would be strange to have the sensors installed but not working unless they are dummy sensors. I don’t think anyone here reported having the sensors installed on an LE/SE but not working.

When I removed and reinstalled the rear bumper cover on my Gen 4 Prius Prime Limited PHEV to replace the left-hand combination lamp because someone had hit-and-ran my car in a parking lot, I made sure not to touch the sensors because the cost of calibration is astronomic.

I think the confusion is because you and others are misunderstanding exactly what Toyota means by F/R Parking Assist with Automatic Braking as an option. I'm pretty sure(like 99%) that all Priuses(and all TSS 3.0 cars in general) have F/R Parking Assist. That's why the LEs and SEs have the ultrasonic sensors. You're going to see the warning segments on the rear view camera and you're going to get the warning tones if you get too close to something. The thing that makes it an option is the "with Automatic Braking" part. I don't think the LEs and SEs will brake automatically if you get too close to something.

So that's what you're adding for the $35. You get a different computer that talks to the ABS computer to apply the brakes. It's possible that there are some differences in wiring in the main dash harness, but there doesn't appear to be because there are no differences in the dash and floor harness part numbers related to parking sensors and automatic braking. The only part I could find that mentions that system was the clearance warning computer.

Not that it matters that much, but there are a deceptively large number of different sensor combinations on the different Prius trims and options.

(these are all for the US versions)
    All:
    1. 8 ultrasonic sensors in the bumper covers for parking assist (4F/4R)
    2. 1 millimeter wavelength radar sensor in the front grille for Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (a.k.a. adaptive cruise)
    3. 2 rear side radar sensors for Rear Cross Traffic Alert under the rear bumper cover on the sides
    4. 1 rear-facing camera for backing up next to the hatch release button (not the best image quality)
    5. 1 front-facing camera behind the rearview mirror for Lane Keeping Alert/Lane Tracing Assist and for road sign notification

    PHEV
    1. 2 front side radar sensors for Front Cross Traffic Alert under the front bumper cover on the sides
    2. 2 IR cameras on the steering column for Traffic Jam Assist and Driver Monitoring

    Digital Rearview Mirror
    1. 2nd rear-facing camera next to the hatch release button

    Advanced Park
    1. 4 additional ultrasonic sensors to cover the corners (in the bumper covers next to each wheel)

    Panoramic View Monitor
    1. 1 front-facing camera next to the DRCC radar
    2. 2 cameras in the side mirrors with IR lights (1 camera and 1 light in each mirror)
    3. upgraded rear-facing camera for backing up (better image quality)

I think that's all the cameras and sensors, but it wouldn't surprise me if I missed something.

Also you said "LE/SE - without park assist" above, when you meant "without automatic braking".
