Yea, I figure there must be someone here that has Salsa Red that would want them, and it would be cheaper than on eBay. I'll wait till I hear from KT-Dreamwork that they do have the Barcelona Red and what they want me to do. I don't have time to install them yet anyway, although I was trying to free up the time :D .

    Thanks FL Buckeye!
Do me a favor and let me know when they respond to you as they haven't written me back to verify payment yet either.

I got a response from Tommy on eBay. He said they do have 3R3, so I ordered a set. I just went to the kt-dreamworks website and it looks like it was hacked:

    "#kuwait hacker"

Hope this doesn't mess up any shipments or orders!

OK, here is my plan: the new mirror backs are at the paint shop at present. They will have color on them tomorrow and then the shop with bake them for the remainder of the week. That will guarantee the paint is 100% dry and ready for installation on Saturday. As soon as they are mounted on the car (on Saturday morning) the clear-bra installer will drop by around 11:00 AM to install the clear bra on them. Once that is done I will then complete the wiring and they will be done. Can't wait!

Thats what he told me too, and I received 3Q3. The original eBay listing showed 3R3, but the new listing has removed 3R3 and replaced it with 3Q3. I am still waiting on a response from Tommy to my email about receiving the wrong color. He is taking longer to answer than usual.

I got an email just a while ago from Tommy at kt-dreamwork ref my receiving the wrong color. He said it was his mistake and he will re-ship the correct color to me. He also asked me to ship the wrong ones back to him and he would pay for the shipping costs. I asked him if he would like for me to try and resell them instead. I don't which would be easier, shipping back to HK or reselling. I did tell him I didn't want to have to wait to resell before getting the correct ones. So I'll wait for his next email.

Last email from kt-dreamworks indicates he wants me to just return the wrong color ones and he will pay for the postage. I think it will be about $22.25 for return by GPM. Don't understand the HK dollar but it cost them $215 HK dollars to send.

Right now $1 US is about $7.78 HK.

So $215 HK is about $27.64. Of course the USPS may charge less or more then the Hong Kong postal service.

I haven't read the rest of this, but if you haven't shipped them back and are still interested in selling them, that's my color, and since it wasn't listed, I had sort of given up on these.

wow sounds like a match in heaven lol, shipping would be faster(or you would think anyways). Im still trying to sell my pre cut 5%tint which is really like 10-15% for a 2006. I was an idiot and couldnt install it, so i paid someone else to cut their own 5% and put it on, now i cant see at night lol

sorry to go off topic, how long did many ppl wait for these, i might just do this in black of course, but I just got my dash kit and want to wait before i dig into the hole of my pockets lol

I ordered/sent payment for mine on the 15th, got an email verifying payment on the 17th, but still no tracking number or anything to tell me they have been shipped.

I'm getting paint protection this weekend and I'm going to have to see if the installer can wait to do the mirrors until after I install the signal mirrors.

I would wait a while before putting paint protection on them anyway. Before the car manufacturers started using water based paints they used to advise to not wax new paint for 30 days. I would think the same would apply to clear bra, etc. I had body work done on a van a while back and the body shop said the same thing. I doubt the covers were painted with water based paint and there is no way to know when they were painted, so a couple of weeks wait might be prudent. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the advice, I've done some pretty extensive research on the subject.

Most high end dealers (Porche, Ferrari, MB etc) are putting paint protection on new cars as soon as they take delivery from the factory. Unless Toyota does a crappy job prepping (And I have to admit I've seen some paint peels on new Toyotas) the Prius should be ok.

As for the covers, I'm more then likely going to have to wait anyway as the installer is in SC and I'm in GA. It's a little bit of a drive to get there so it'll be a couple weeks anyway.

    Thanks!

(My 100th post BTW) WoooHooo!! :p

:( and i only have 40 something, Does any one know if the mechanism is the folding feature or not? and has anyone compared the mirrors from the other site to see if the material(grade) is the same?

on a side note, anyone know in what forum i can put a for sale sign on the precut tint for the prius?

No, I haven't had time to play with the mirror yet to see if it is the folding mechanism. I have not seen the eBay mirrors, but I can say that the Toyota ones are just as high quality as the factory mirrors, but actually look a lot nicer because the black plastic frame around the mirror is a glossy plastic rather than the flat on the factory mirror. I think it's an upgrade overall, not just the turn signals.
