Yes, I downloaded much (all?) of the manual for $10 off of Toyota's techinfo site.

I agree that there is probably little to no difference in reusing the washers (I think they are soft aluminum) versus replacing them, but I wasn't sure what to expect the first time I changed the fluid, so I bought 'em.

    Thanks,
    Shawn

    Jayman or Rick,

Is there any info about doing the drain/fill of the PSD WS fluid? I haven't found anything on here yet but I'd like to do mine soon. I'm at 62K miles now and the local dealer wants $129 to flush/fill it and I don't really trust them to do it. If I had some pics/directions I think I could pull it off ok.

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe

    Joe,

Just do a drain and fill ... a "Flush" is wasted on the Prius (no torque converter). I had mine done at the dealer for $85 at 61,000 miles. A lab analysis said "not bad, but just about used up". Try to save a 4 oz sample in a clean Poly bottle and have it lab tested so that we can add your experience to our database. See:

A "flush" is impossible as the +2004 Prius there is only a drain plug and a fill plug. This may help

For those looking to get some of Toyota ATF WS from local dealer and their reply is 'I've never heart of it', here are the OE codes:
    00289‐ATFWS
    08886-81210
    08886‐02303
    08886‐02305
    08886‐80803
    08886‐80807

I finally managed to order the WS from local dealer after I have came with those numbers...
