Toyota's looking for a Vehicle Security Telematics & Consumer Consultant. There are a lot of smart people here, maybe one of you might be interested.

"The primary responsibility for this role is to define requirements for the security elements of automotive embedded systems which provide connectivity to external devices. This includes vehicle communications, infotainment, telematics components and infrastructure. The team member will direct testing efforts to support the identification and resolution of security issues."

    The listing is on Glassdoor.

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with Toyota in any way except for being a happy Prius driver.

Considering how fast the US government wants a V2V (vehicle to vehicle) standard designed and implemented there is no time to design in security. This position may be for the first one to be blamed when there is a security incident even though recommendations were ignored.

    I hope I am wrong.
