I remember that thread. On my gen2 it ran the fan at max 100% of the time it was hooked up. Parked in the garage, the battery case never got warm even during the summer when I was doing monthly charges.

It runs at max speed, which is 6 on the scale for a Gen3 :).

The range is 0 to 6;).

It’s a great setup and permits easy preventative maintenance on an expensive component of the Prius (y).

Well, they got the site fixed. YAY. It's been down every time I checked it till just now.

Anyway, I see that others beat me to it. I have the original Prolong model and, as others said, it runs the fan on the Gen 2 at a 6, which is full blast. Anyone with unimpaired hearing would have no trouble hearing it unless there's a lot of background noise. Running it slower would be an unnecessary complication that would gain nothing except saving a millionth of a cent on your electric bill. But still, the new model may be different, so check with Jeff.

My 2013 117k miles is discharging when I am stopped with nothing on. The battery seems to be charging normally. I also have traction, brake and abs lights on from a wheel bearing I changed on Thursday. Could this be part of it?

It must be the hybrid as that is the one shown on my display, no?

The traction. Light being on, suggests something that got to for with the HV battery. Get the car scanned

Here is what it looks like. Getting it scanned tomorrow and having them check the connector on my RWB. 1B65D5D6-98C7-48EF-B0AB-707D2AFAA52A.jpeg

What has this to do with the subject of this thread?

What relevance is this to Gen 2?

As you have a Gen 3 Prius, you should start your own thread in the relevant Gen 3 forum. You will get better information and help from the folk there that have more knowledge and experience with the Gen 3 Prius.

I think the link to the installation instructions are broken, it gives an error on the page and I can’t seem to find it on your website either. Is this product still on sale or is there an updated version?

Hey Jeff how much is just the connection cable and the fan power supply? I have a nice lady neighbor who has a 2007 with soft hybrid battery and I was going to let her use my charger/light bulb discharger. Nice lady single mother. Just need the cable.

    Thanks.
