Traction Control and wintery conditions

    Sorry to say, but I have been a Prius owner since 2005 and definitely have experienced problems with the traction control. I live in California, no snow, very little real traction hazards, but a tiny puddle or steel grate is enough to cause the car to sudden stop moving forward. It is incredibly jarring for the passengers, potentially hazardous for people behind me, and a bit scary. Maybe a softer control would be better.
