Big Tex burned in 2012 and was reconstructed. Fire started in his right boot. That'll lairn ya.

Only China back-tariff I've heard of yet is on soybeans.

I can see how Big Tex and Glycine max belong in the same post.

My parents did the Southfork tour once, and really enjoyed it. They said most of the cars were all smashed down one side: the producers bought write-offs, and would only film them from the good side.

Sorghum is likely to face earlier and more severe tariffs than soybeans.

Other measures may be non-tariff: US beef may lose the safety approval that was granted during Trump's visit; State-owned airlines may be directed to buy Airbuses; media campaigns may discourage Chinese tourists from visiting the US; US banks and financial institutions may face discrimination; and so on.

Which Emperor For Life? I suspect there are at least two who are relevant to this discussion. Three, possibly, if we include the Boss For Life of one of the Emperors For Life.

I believe he was referring to faucets and other plumbing fixtures that have all the valve workings within a plastic widget called a cartridge.

We used a bag of flour in my high school health class.

Having a hat with a 360 degree brim, I have learned that they and the head restraints currently in cars don't mesh together well. So the cowboy hat is probably saved for special occasions.

Then again, costing over $50, or even over the $100 mark, might be enough reason to keep the hats out of daily wear.

China bought what is equivalent to the entire state of Iowa's soybeans last year. This trade war will hurt grain farmers who were already suffering from low prices.
