I have an iPhone 4 that is already paired with my European 2008 Prius.

When going through the MFD menu to transfer contacts, it tells me to initiate transfer from the phone. I do not see an option to do this on the phone. But I see that the bluetooth has been disconnected although I read somewhere that this is normal and not to worry about.

So how do I make the transfer?

As far as I can tell, it's not possible (thanks to Apple).

Still looking for a way to get them transferred.

I have read that thread before and the one that your linked post links to. It still does not tell me how exactly, one can transfer the iPhone contacts to the Gen. II Prius.

I'm saying you may be out of luck thanks to what's implemented on both the iPhone side on the Gen 2 Prius' nav system side, at least w/the rev of nav DVD I have.

If someone succeeds, I'd love to hear about it.

It's CLEARLY possible (w/the "right stuff" on both ends) since I did succeed transferring my entire iPhone 3G's phone book in one fell swoop over to a Lexus HS 250h, but that was a much newer nav system.

Do you have a Gen 2 (04-09) Prius or a Gen 3 (2010+) Prius? Your user info indicates 2012...
