,I have a 2012 Prius. My trip and display buttons on my steering wheel will not work. The rest of the steering wheel buttons work (temperature, volume, changing radio station up/down). I check with scan tool and getting B1504(lost communication with steering SW) Does anyone have any advice to get them working again?

it is usually the spiral cable. try the buttons as you turn the wheel from lock to lock.

some chinese cables are bad out of the box. it looks like you'll have to do some electrical testing of the switch, cable and receiver at the other end. ecu? the service manual might be the place to start

Thanks bisco for the replay. unfortunately I also tried to change the whole steering but still the same issue only trip and disp not working. IS there any fuse of that? because when i remove the battery and reattach the battery i get the other screen display only once.

So what i confused is is there any fuse of that thing or its issue in the ecu or something?

idk if there is a specific fuse for that button. maybe it is the ecu then, or the connections

I have same problem . It either happened after oil change or battery jump

First oil change happened. Left the car idle for 2 week. Then did battery jump.

Then i noticed display button dont work.
