    Another discussion board that I frequent uses the same basic software, and they use the "adding reputation" feature that the medal here has.

    It's just a nice way to tell someone "Thanks!!" for their posting, their attitude, and their presence :)

    Actually that's a great idea.

    Reason a lot of forum discussions become more heated than in person is the lack of eybrows that hint: "enough!"
