I have a 2010 Prius Five and I'm having a very hard time programming the car's homelink to my garage door opener. I have deleted all the programming and tried but still I can't program it. I have the manual and I've tried everything in it. It just won't copy my remote. I have a chamberlain opener. Anybody have a solution to this?

Did you go through the training process with the ceiling mounted opener motor?

I never got that far. I wasn't able to duplicate my garage door remote to register on the homelink. I need to first do that before I can go through the training process on the actual door open in the garage. That's my problem

Try put the remote right against the Home Link mirror, meaning touching.

I've tried that "touching" the mirror, it's still not registering. I followed all the instructions in the manual but it won't register.

Finally got it to register. I had to hold the remote up the the very button I was trying to program. Putting the remote against the mirror wasn't close enough, had to actually touch the button I was programming. Thanks for your help.
