Tesla announced a 1-to-5 stock split so ~$1,500/share will soon be ~$300/share. This of course matches the claim of SHORT sellers but by other means.

Source: Tesla Announces a Five-for-One Stock Split | Tesla, Inc.

PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 11, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tesla, Inc. (“Tesla”) announced today that the Board of Directors has approved and declared a five-for-one split of Tesla’s common stock in the form of a stock dividend to make stock ownership more accessible to employees and investors. Each stockholder of record on August 21, 2020 will receive a dividend of four additional shares of common stock for each then-held share, to be distributed after close of trading on August 28, 2020. Trading will begin on a stock split-adjusted basis on August 31, 2020.

The better ½ read me the riot act for buying Tesla for nearly $700 ( she's very very finances worried). I had the last laugh over that - as it now fluctuates between - $1400 - $1700. So. I couched the news about the split by telling her, "the stock price dropped into the $300's ....". Before she could finish saying, "I TOLD YOU SO", I sprang the good news on her, as to the reason why. LOL.

    Tesla is building more capacity:
    • Nevada continues to expand
    • Reports are Fremont will shutdown for reconfiguration
    • Shanghai continues to expand
    • Berlin is being built with some exterior walls already up
    • Austin is being site prepared
It is very likely Tesla will double their manufacturing capacity in the next year. The remote factories will all but eliminate shipping and import taxes.

NO, NO, NO, put your money into USA manufacturers that are still shutting down and selling their factories ... NOT!

Over $2k/share .... $500/share considering the 5 to 1 split. Did you dump that Ford & GM yet?
