    Wow nice work. How long was install? Possible to take out the yellow lens and make white like the ones in japan?

    He was asking about swapping out the amber reflectors for clear/white reflectors found on JDM/European Prius. Here we all want the JDM look with white reflectors. On the other hand, Japanese modders dig the USDM headlights with amber reflectors. Just a "the grass is greener on the other side" thing.

    I've seen someone on the forum simply remove the orange/amber cover on the headlight. It didn't look bad or even noticeably incomplete.

    how it is illegal? OP simply blacked out his headlight housing and added led strip. His led projectors don't need the reflective chrome housing to project light forward as used in older cars with old tech. Hence, there is no diminished light output post mod.

    The OP already has LED headlights and simply blacked them out. Nothing technically illegal like putting in HIDs.

    It would only be illegal if the amber reflector is removed... even then, I ran without reflectors for six years and never had a problem.
