My 2007 Touring Edition Prius is at her 160K miles now. I recently notice that the mileage is dramatically drop from the average of 40MPG to less than 33MPG in the city.

Can you please advise what are the possible problems causing the mileage drop and how to get it fixed?

    Regards,

that's a tall order. there are many systems in prius which affect mpg.

has anything changed that might lead to the problem?

weather, driving routes, new tires and etc.?

has all regular maintenance been done to date, and is the car running fine otherwise?

Other than engine oil change (every 3000 miles) and engine air filter replacement three weeks ago, no other parts of the car were changed. The commuted routes are also mostly the same. The mileage is hardly increase though i try to be gently drive.

    Have you checked tire pressures?

Also, feel all wheels immediately after a drive: see if any feel unusually hot.
