Turned down a 2010 Prius for whatever reason? Post here if someone else may want to buy it

    • I thought it might be a good thread possibly if you have turned down a color or package from your dealer to get a specific one, maybe someone else here can call that dealer if they are willing to drive and snag the car. What do you think?
    • I just had a weird experience regarding this where I thought I "stole" someone's car here when I called around and found what I wanted in Calif. The salesman gave it to me and am flying down hopefully next weekend to pick it up.The person who gave it up, is on here and emailed me about it.He turned down the color I was looking for so I got it and am willing to drive.
    Just thought it might help someone get their car earlier and have a fun road trip to boot!

    I know, isnt that ironic? I freaked because I thought I stole it from him (the dealer said I could have it) but he passed on it. Thought this may help get people here linked together. I know I have alot of dealers working on the car for me so maybe I can pass on the good karma to someone else here. Thx :)

    Congrats Julie. How did you ever manage to find a car in california when you live in Oregon?? That must have been a lot of phone calls! ;)

    This is actually a great thread idea.

    I currently have a base IV in silver with dark gray leather available. MSRP is $26,750.

    I passed on the Blue so that I can wait for my Blizzard Pearl. Glad that I could help out. Small world and I'm very happy that you got it. :) Maybe I'll meet you at the dealer when you pick up the car.

    It is docked and waiting to have the port authorities release it. Hopefully he said next weekend I can fly down and drive it back. Very excited. Wouldnt of happened without the good people here to help

    Well if anyone is passing up a Blue Prius 2 with no options let me know. I'm in New England but will travel a reasonable distance. Not California tho. :)
    PM me if anything comes up. Dealers in my area are saying middle of June at the earliest but possibly end of July or August. :(

    I cancelled my order for a loaded silver. Toyota allowed the dealer to tack on over $1000 in BS fees. The car was scheduled to arrive between the end of May & the end of June. Someone else can enjoy.

    This is what I'm concerned about, too! If that happens at my dealer (who hasn't returned any calls yet), I will bail. Bait and switch really bothers me and I am still on the fence about the '10 model and holding out for what I really want.... PLUG-IN recharging and ability to drive just 20 miles with all electric in city driving.

    Just in case, a Blizzard White IV with Misty Grey leather, navigation, and Solar/ Sunroof is my priority order.

    Well I'm off to the dealer in 2 hours to plunk down a deposit on the exact model I was looking for. I will post prices once I have the paperwork in hand but they have stated they will throw in the floormats for free!
    Doc fee is reasonable and they are only 40 mins away.
    Thanks to a person in this forum I should have the exact car I want by early June! <happy, happy, happy>

    I will post a pic if it happens. I was quoted msrp but they tacked on the mats at $200 and th back applique of $69. I was ok with that since I can use both and I found the car early. I wouldnt buy it if he added alot more with extra fees. Hopefull he isnt charging for the driver to follow me to reno. Havent heard back but he didnt add that into the quote.
