    So the real thing:
Buckle the belt and sit on it.

Be a normal human and forget you did that.

    Drive off like that...

I was going to propose just sit on it while it is buckled. When you reach the road, do the right thing and save yourself from future angst (which I suspect you are well aware of.)

In a Subaru, they'd be subject to increasingly more insistent warning chimes until they finally buckle up. Mine doesn't wait until the car is moving before starting up on the noise.

I can see that being more of an hassle for trips through farm to local roads.

I have seen ‘seatbelt extenders’ that might work. JC Whitney.

I just Researched the seat belt beep in the Gen 2 Range Rover. mine is WAAYY louder and annoying then the Prius ..OMG that is the most annoying sound ever!
Seatbelt chime - how to disable - Reversible - | Range Rovers Forum Here is a reversible fix n the Rover. Maybe our older Gen2. have a clip under the seat as well. I do know people have clipped the wire to the speaker under the dash panel...but that is harder to get to.

As Trollbait mentioned, the Subaru chime starts as a nice reminder. Something you can live with -- but of course you are not supposed to live with the noise.

After a bit, it really goes up in noise range. After xx days without it, I am still alive. I have not driven on any roads with any real traffic without seatbelts.

I am in love, again. :D After all, isn't that what Subaru is all about?

Hey, those dogs are not wearing seatbelts!! They must be on Daisy Hill Puppy Farm, driving a farm road.
