    BACK TO Remote Controls:

I had a technician in today installing sockets in the back of my new organ to easily plug the ext speakers into. It got a bit warm, and I said "if the A/C will work, I'll turn it on" explaining that seeing it was a mild day, it probably will - it's on hot days that the remote control receiver in the A/C often doesn't "see" the signal from the remote.

He said - have you tried turning the FLUORO lights off when the remote doesn't work. He works in a workshop, and explained that standard procedure is to turn the light OFF near the A/C wall unit before trying to operate the remote control.

Mine worked - but next time, I'll check if the Fluoro is on.
