    So I figured I would create a thread for all the resident couch potatoes here to discuss current/past tv shows.

    Anyone watching walking dead? What do you think of the Governor's return?

    Walking Dead is my favorite show. I watched every episode including Talking Dead.

    The Governor is evil and he cannot be redeemed . I think Rick or Darryl will evidentially kill him but the Governor will take out a high value target. Most likely he will kill Mischonne or Hershel among others

    If he kills Mischonne Daryl will go ballistic.

    No I haven 't but I should. They said one of the characters from the comics will be introduced into the show next season

    I believe Darryl Dixon with the sword arm was in the comics. He came back to the good side and attacked The Governor in the end but died and his brother had to kill him when he became a Walker.

    You watch the show?

    In the comics the governor attacks the prison while running Woodbury. Ricks wife is still alive and she and the baby girl are killed by the governor during the assault. The governor is also killed.

    Negan will probably be introduced next season.

    The show deviates from the comic in a number of big ways.

    True the show sounds much different. Ricks wife played a good character but I sensed her demise. She had plenty of baggage banging Ricks police partner Shane and carrying his baby. That was thick as pea soup.

    Little Sofie was sad. It brought out the intensity of killing a known Walker.

    The coming attractions showed the Governor and his gang of old people at the gates of the Prison with a Tank. Looks like a battle next show.

    If you want to get into the comics, they put out a book every year in October of all the comics that year. There are nine out so far. You can get them on amazon for about $20 each and they also have cool artwork etc and are hardcover. I would highly recommend it if you are a fan of the show.

    Yeah he used a tank in the comics too if I remember correctly.

    In the comics the battle destroys the prison and kills Laurie, the baby, the governor and maybe some more lesser characters. I'm pretty sure michonne survives.

    I may do that. I like the show.

    Do you watch the Talking Dead Show. The have good guests. The had the Governor 2 weeks ago and Martinez last week

    You should cause they discuss the show and bring in some great guests. It gives you insight into the writers and actors.

    They have a Zombie school and also people dress as walkers and show up on the set and are used as extras

    I think of TV as an advertising delivery system. Having just about weaned myself completely, I'm down to a couple of hours a week, on average.

    That's really all it is, however I enjoy an hour or so a night in between when I put my daughter to bed and when I go to bed. I pour myself a little Macallan 12 year and have some "me" time.
