New owner of a 2013 Prius v Five in Barcelona Red. Traded in my trusty 2002 Civic EX with 200k miles (33.4 mpg lifetime). Huge upgrade.

    I have two quick questions.

The e-brochure for the Prius says that the Five has "LED headlights with auto level control". Does this mean they auto level while driving? I see no sign of auto leveling neither while driving nor upon starting the car. Am I missing something? Are our LED lights actually auto leveling?

What is this portion (see pic - in blue) of the lighting system?

I really appreciate the help and insight of this blog and hope to contribute. Thank you.

The low beam headlights are LED. Auto-levelling means they adjust themselves to load conditions, etc. You won't usually see any movements, its a pretty small adjustment.

In your picture, that entire light is just turn signal. There might be some Canadian models with DRL in that lower part, I'm not sure.
