Monday, the Southeast had been under a drought with a long of fires in the Smokies. Literally, air you can see. But the first front was preceded by 30-40 mph straight-line winds that pretty well stoked the fires followed by a some rain, less than an inch.

The second front, 24 hours later, had supercell thunderstorms, soaking rains, and high winds. Most have already moved to the northwest. However, there is another strong storm splitting the difference between Hartselle and Cullman that looks to track right over our south Huntsville area.

Just in on our cell phone, Madison County is under a tornado watch the next 4 hours. I wasn't fast enough capturing the screen shot as this is an earlier cell passing south of us:

It is moving fast, tricky timing to make a screen shot.

Things are quieting down in our area as the storms weaken and head northeast at 70 mph.
