Okay, in the glovebox is that connector thingy, anyone know what it's for?

Second, what clip do I need to put that door speaker back in place?

Nbr 2: That part (pictured above) is called the Front Door Lower Frame Bracket Garnish RH.

This illustration shows where the clips are (although it is easier to picture after you've seen it in real life).

    FD LF Garnish (LH).png
(This illustration shows the LH door, but the RH door is the mirror image.)

    The bottom fix point should be a (green??) panel pin that slides into a home at the bottom of the garnish;

The top clip is part of the garnish molding and has a spring clip fitted over. This is received by a receptacle that clips in to the steel door frame.

Sometimes the top pin or the receptacle get damaged (because it is removed by someone who doesn't know how it is affixed and using brute force damages it) and need to be replaced so the garnish fits again snugly in place.

    Part numbers:
    • 67491-47020 – GARNISH, FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET, RH
    • 67492-47020 – GARNISH, FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET, LH
    • 90468-04157 – Std Part *** (push in receptacle for door frame)
    • 90467-10161 – Std Part *** (lower panel pin)

    Hope this helps.

He's not part of this thread (so far), and what has it to do with the subject of this thread?

Awesome, thanks! Useless to me but okay! I burn mp3s to CD and play them in my JBL 6 disc changer. Currently I have 2 discs with over 11 hours of continuous music, working on disc 3 which will include my classical, polka, and swing inventory.

dolj, well, I found the green(?) clips on Amazon, ordered, and the spring clip, but I can't tell from the pic what it looks like. Found that on Ebay. Ordered it. I'll take a better pic tomorrow because it actually looks like a wedge clip should go there, but I could of course be wrong.

Yes, the top one on the garnish is a wedge clip.

On a closer look at that part, 90468-04157, looks like it might be the metal spring clip that clips on the wedge. It is pretty hard to tell from the parts diagram. I can't see the part that presses into the door frame, but it sounds like yours is in good condition from what you say above.

To me, the first picture looks like the older iPod/iPad.iPhone connector. Perhaps somebody connected it either for charging or auxiliary audio input.
I am not familiar with aftermarket accessories & mods for the Prius.

A competent dealership parts department, as long as they're reasonably nearby, can be very helpful. They're often more expensive, but this is is once in a while, and they tend to get it right, no shipping, and if it turns out to be the wrong part the return/exchange process is simple.

WOOHOO!!! Okay, got the clip yesterday and it was the metal wedge type clip. Popped right on and holds perfectly! Looked really odd at first but as soon as I held it next to the panel it clicked in my mind and I saw how it mounted!!! THANKS!
