Just had confirmation from Melissa @ToyotaBlog re the LED pack...

"It can’t be retrofitted. Sorry about this. Do give your dealer feedback on this."

    :(

I wonder how much of that is actually listening to customer feedback and how much of it is "We rushed to get it out of the door, early adopters are suckers!" like the USB kit on the American model. How much customer feedback could they have really gotten, it hasn't even been out for a week!

I might call my local dealer and ask about the LED pack, maybe it'll be out by September...?

Like Leather, the LED pack must be specified when the car is ordered.

It's single zone only - which brochure do you have?

TGB have let the accuracy of print material slide recently. Just got the Autumn 2009 copy of "Today Tomorrow" magazine from Toyota which shows the new Prius as VED Band B.

Considering it's one of the selling points that it's VED Band A - that's a bit of a cock up! LOL

Yep - got my brochure out - it does indeed say dual zone. Unless they mean something else by that  There is definitely only one temperature control for the entire car.

Has anyone managed to activate auto door locking and auto door unlocking. Melissa on the blog states that "the doors lock automatically after driving off on every Prius grade". I am not aware of this happening on our T3. I have tried the button pushes described in another thread on this site - but to no avail. The dealer is going to have a look when they single beep reverse. Feedback on this issue would be very helpful.

Nope, and I cant find any mention of it in my manual either. I would be interested in this as well as I normally always lock the doors when I set off.

Comparing our UK / Euro manual to the US Manual I downloaded I can see that the customization sections are different. We just don't have any door lock customizations I'm afraid.

    OK - here's a conversation grenade....

Was washing my lovely TSpirit at the weekend and noticed something on the headlights. If you look closely down the upper outside edge you will see a line of about 6 white led lights down the outer edge of the cluster. Doesn't matter what combo of lights you turn on - they never light up.

Curious as to what they are there for or if they could be powered.

If anyone is interested I can take a photo to illustrate.

Yup, it's been mentioned before. It also appeared in the 2006 model midlife update. They don't do anything.

lol nope but we're waiting for the first person to fabricate something and have them light up as DRLs or parking lights. It won't be me cause I know squat about circuitry.

Anyone know about the roof bars? I went in to Toyota today and they quoted £118 + vat for them. Not too bad a price I thought. Anyone used these that can give any feedback or is it better to go for Thule or the like?

Also does anyone know the part number?
