Looks like the Gen 2 Volt is off to a good start. Looking forward to see what sales will be as more of them become available nationwide. And hopefully they advertise it some more.

That would be nice, but I don't think that will happen any time soon. Unless a war breaks out in the Middle East.

But high gas prices ($4) did not exactly help before!

Ehhh 1126 Volt sales for February (between 1st gen and 2nd gen sales, I don't know the breakdown but I assume 1st gen is still not sold out) compared to 930 LEAF sales (considering the LEAF is in it's 6th year of the current model design, granted with a slightly bigger battery for this year), so I wouldn't say it's thaaat good of a start, but granted I don't think any plug-in is selling really well compared with where we thought we would be by now (compared with a year or two ago). Like it or not gas prices are taking a toll on alternative fuel vehicles.

Lately, the only times I see another plug-in on the road is when I drive past a mirror store.

...so much about the car sales is secret I would not know if that's fleet sale or what.

The February of 2013 and 2014 are the only months in which the Volt sold better. With lower gas prices now, the 1126 is good sign. Though it could be inflated by deals of 2015 models. Which can also be true of the Prius and even the Leaf. Last year's model always has some discount compared to the new. That's an issue when looking at sales for this time of year.

Chevrolet Volt Sales Figures - GOOD CAR BAD CAR

How many plug ins ending up in fleets is an interesting question. I suspect it is less percentage wise than with ICE cars, because of the attending outlet requirement. Then do we differentiate fleets? A car bought by a rental agency underwent a different decision process, and will see different use, than one bought to be an employee's company car.
