While driving the average EV yields significant emissions savings, the more efficient the EV, the greater the benefits of switching from gasoline to electricity. Driving the most efficient EV produces lower emissions than the most efficientgasoline car where 97 percent of the population lives—in other words, virtually everywhere in the United States. For example, the emissions from driving a 2021 Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus in California equal those of a gasoline car getting 152 miles per gallon. The Tesla’s global warming emissions are a fifth of those of the average new gasoline car and over 60 percent less than even the most efficient gasoline car on the market. If you want to explore the emissions from other models in different regions of the country, you can use our EV emission tool.

    Just sharing facts and data.

My understanding is they looked at manufacturing cost this time.

The Cradle to Grave report has always looked into those costs.
These maps just reflect carbon emissions from driving the cars.

You can be sure the fossil fool industry will reference the sub 30mpg electricity in Minnesota and Hawaii as "proof" that electric cars use more resources and are less sustainable than fossil fool cars.

    AHEM...
    A) There aren't ANY sub 30 MPGe in the USA as of the latest map, and even in the older map, it wasn't in Minnesota ;)

Well, there are sub 30mpge areas on the EV pick up only map. Which is better than the sub 20mpg the ICE models would likely return.
