    There are also good directions on how to change the battery in the owners manual, but basically you pull out the mechanical key, then fully press the sliding button on the FOB and then you can slide the cover off (toyota emblem), there are 4 tiny screws to remove, the battery can be found anywhere that sells watch batteries, the correct size is CR2032. Typically the battery in a key FOB lasts approx. 3 years.
