    "Not being familiar"--you got that right. Probably in most cases
    "None of the five means . . . has ever failed."--We don't know that. I've tried a couple of them on purpose and they have worked for me. But my random opinion on whether they will ever fail isn't worth much.

    Yes, I understand this now. The poll and the discussion was never trying to prove or better yet speculate that the car wasn't very safe in every way. It was trying to prove or better yet speculate that if the Prius systems were all safe the only factor left was the driver.
