    Hotspot? Not sure why everyone's scratching there heads. No mystery. We've seen failed I pumps 100's of times here.
    Failed but ok in frigid temps but soon as she hit the hills it overheated the hell out of the Inverter & trans and crowbarred the inverter. Trans fluid needs to be replaced now too. Probabaly original fluid. Probably been bad a long time as evidenced by her poor mileage. 12 volt is shot too I bet.

    i didnt even think of the hills. good point. the tranny fluid. i agree replace it.
