One that I can answer obviously!

    (hey, does that count?)

    Edited to add:

In all seriousness, feel free to ask any sort of trivia question you want. Something "tricky" (not easily found via google/web) is always a bonus.

It's richard schumacher's turn but I say he forfeits his chance if he doesn't post a question by the end of today. After all, we have folks waiting on pins and needles here!

I don't know who's turn it is, and someone can slap me on the hand or ask another one, but I thought I would throw an easy one out here.

The individual who invented the electric chair was a member of what profession?

Or a better non-answer (even though it is a more accurate description of his profession in the case of the particular person we are discussing):

    An Inventor?

(Hint: I think he had a lightbulb go on over his head when he thought of it)

Didn't Frank Lloyd Wright do a lot of chair designing back in The Day? ;)

    (just kidding, hold the Salmonella-tomatoes)

My vote is for Thomas Edison. Playing fair, I didn't Google or Wiki it, but I remember watching a show on Discovery where it was talked about. Bothe Edison and George Westinghouse were mentioned. Edison believed in DC for power distribution, Westinghouse in AC. If I remember correctly, Edison built the first electric chair, but chose to "power" it with AC. - In other words, AC, BAD it kills, DC GOOD, it lights up light bulbs. (That Edison of course made)

Well, I guess it's my turn to post something, now that I have the coffee cleaned off my screen after seeing Godiva's new Avitar :D .
In the early to mid 70's, there was a country music group by the name of C W McCall, their most notable hit was the song "Convoy" that kicked off the CB radio craze at that time. The question is, who was the songwriter for this group and what does that person do today?

Was it Jerry Reed? Don't know what he's doing today.

Yikes, the C.W. McCall question is an obscure one ! It's in Wikipedia, but I think you really have to be a CB radio-nerd to know this one. Breaker-breaker, Spectra out.
