Useless Trivia - 1st one to answer gets to ask

Hawaii is the southernmost and Alaska represents the northernmost, westernmost and easternmost.
While Maine is generally considered the easternmost. Attu island, in the Alleutian Islands, in Alaska, is at 52°50'47″N, 173°11'10″E, putting on the other side of the international date line, making Attu, and thus Alaska technically also the easternmost. This is one of my oldest at favorite trivia questons. I hope you will enjoy using it.

A bat?

 

Nah, they're blind as a...actually, they get around pretty well with echolocation.

Visible. The wavelength range that falls between the two in the trivia Q.

 

Strangely enough, Boo, what we see is known as the visible spectrum. Bees can see uv, just out of our range. Ultraviolet is a longer wavelength, just out of our range the other way.

 

Fascinating stuff. And some would call this "useless trivia"?

In my prior life, I moved commas. Now that was useless and trivial.

Octopi see much like we do, colours too. They can also change colour, and some even give off their own light. But no, it's not an octopus.

 

A parrot?

 

I'm not exactly sure what parrots can see, other than behind them.

Some snakes, classed as pit vipers, have infrared receptors separate from their eyes. Yeah, I think Predator could see just about everything, without anyone seeing him. But that's not the creature I was thinking of.
