Using a Prius as a Backup Generator, Any Changes?

    except a prius sitting in ready mode burns about a gallon every 12 or so hours.

    so.. in theory, you have 2 to 5 days of fuel. unless you turn the car off.

    anyone know the power consumption of the prius sitting in ready mode? (i don't feel like crunching numbers above... i remember something like 300 or 400 watts)

    what is it using power for? 3-400 watts seems like quite a bit. just computers and stuff?
