I need to replace a module. I'm looking at this posting on amazon

I need to know if this module really will fit in the Gen 3 battery. Here are the specs for it:

    Product Name Battery Module NP2
    Nominal Voltage 7.2V
    Nominal Capacity 6.5Ah
    Output 1350W
    Energy Density 46Wh/kg
    Weight 1040g
    Outer Dimensions (mm) 19.6(W)×106(H)×285(L)

In the description the seller says this module is for Prius 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009, meaning gen 2, but down below in the Q&A section people are asking if it'll fit their Camry 2014, Prius 2012, etc. and he says yes to all of them. Which is contradicting to his description. Is he full of shit?

    Yes. They will physically interchange.

That being said, do you really want to put a module. potentially built as early as the summer of 2003, into your 2010?

What is their definition of excellent condition? The outward physical appearance? The overall capacity?

Do they offer a warranty ?

Good point. Since I have amazon prime this would be the quickest way to get my hands on a cell, and the only one for sale on amazon. The seller offers 1 month warranty.

From your experience with the dealership, I'd double check the model you have with another source.

Hmm why do you say that? Btw I know nothing about the models. Is One better than Two? The other way around? How many different models are there.

If the dealer you bought the car from is really that unreasonable, I wouldn't be too surprised if a bunch of nails make it onto their car lot every week, in front of their most expensive cars. It would be a horrible accident waiting to happen.

Not so much. But please run the VIN at https://www.toyota.com/owners and see what you've actually purchased.

A 1k battery may not get you any further than a $50 module, if unsure go with the NEW option.

There are more questions and answers that need to be addressed before a module swap, the least of which is what model.

Does the dealership offer a return policy, or would the CA lemon law apply?

Once you get the battery squared away, you’ll need to dismantle the egr circuit and intake manifold for some major cleaning. Roughly 8 hours of labor but it will ensure your investment will go a long way.
