Since I can't find anyone selling a set of OEM Touring 16 inch rims but I can find the 15 inch style, I am wondering if there would be any ill-effects of me using the 15inchers on my 2008 Touring model. I really want a complete set of mounted winter tires, and I really want OEM.

Anyone think this would be an issue?

Also does anyone know where to buy the TPMS sensors if they do not come preinstalled in OEM wheels?

I went with multi-fit 15 inch steel rims from Canadian Tire. They fit a variety of Toyota cars, not just the Prius. After 4 years, no ill effects.

Make sure to use the proper Acorn-style lugnut though. The Toyota OEM lugnut for the aluminum wheels will loosen, at least they did for me. I got the proper lugnuts at Napa for $20 - or $1 a nut

It'll work but get 185/65R15 tires to keep everything working good (speedometer, etc.). That size 15" tire has almost the same circumference as the stock 16.

I'd forget the TPMS sensors. It will cost you too much to get them programmed into the car -both- when you install the winter wheels and when you install the summer wheels. The system can only handle 4 sensors at a time.

Which is one more reason I went with Nokian WR tires year round.
