I think I about got the color right... Top left Corvette for reference.
(using dealer photo for photoshop work)

What I really want is to replace my front bumper with a 2012, I like it better, and have the grill be pearl white.

I may also go with White mirrors, but if I get the folding JDMs then I'll go white with them.
White rims would be sweet, but I can always plasti-dip the wheel covers to see how I feel about it.

What do you think? Is the seafoam too much? I really love it!
The more I look at what I've done, the more it grows on me.
It's funny, because I've had it in my head for so long, but to see it rendered... so cool.

And I would definitely be seen on the road, unlike the black paint I have now...

    Well...
You're so enthusiastic about it, that I'd say do it.

Personally, I think the color looks good on a classic corvette.
    But "solid" on a Prius?
It looks like a giant breath mint.

I might be more open to the idea if I saw the two tone look.

And bottom line? If you want to do it? Have the time and resources? Go for it.

    Ignore me.
    It's your car.

part of it also is that there is no depth or "creaminess" like in real paint job of the vette, as doing that in photoshop is far beyond my skill.

yeah, the seaglass pearl is probably what got seafoam in my head as a viable color!

My response will be, yeah it does look minty, because it's so fresh. #micdrop ;)

    IT'S A TIC TAC!

Hey, it's a Prius. Any color you make it will be the butt of someone's joke. Do what makes you happy.

At least it will be theft-proof. No way to evade the cops in a one-of-a-kind color like that.

What if you made the roof and side lamps the cream color? It kind of reminds me of my friend's retro fiat. [IMG]

I think you're really on to something. I love that two-tone paint on the Corvette.

    Hmm...

    Maybe something like that?

If it were me, I'd do a G-Sport front end. :)

I definitely like it better with the two-tone look.

I think the second "Two Tone" too much.
I might stop it at the front fender like the Corvette. -edit- Austin- Healey

I think the line you need to walk with the choice to "Two Tone" is careful accentuating of the entire vehicle, a harmonious partnership of color.

    Too much?
And it looks like you simply didn't know what color you wanted so you went with both.

Okay, I just couldn't let this rest.

If you're going to go through the trouble of changing the bumper cover and painting the whole car, you might as well make it a Prius G-Sport.

Now try Photoshopping just the roof and hood and hatch. I think that would contrast nicely with the white??

If you like the color, go for it. But just FYI, the car in the corner picture isn't a Corvette--it's an Austin-Healey.

I'm just not that into the G-Sport front, plus I'd have to order it from Japan... Definitely not in my budget.

You're right! The two-tone and the similar body shape made me think it was a late 50s corvette roadster! Very similar, but always good to give respect to the BMC!

oh, and as far as the roof goes, my Prius has the solar package, so it's going to be dark...

cheep quick photoshop of chrome lower rocker moldings and a more inspired two-tone.
