Are the front seats in a '16 or '17 v any different than the seats in a hatchback? Thanks!

I believe the Gen 4 hatchback seats vary depending on Trim level. I find my Trim Two seats uncomfortable but the Softex seats are supposed to be better.

There wa some discussion around here comparing my Trim Two seats to a 2015 Prius v 5. One person said the lift back was better and the other said they were about the same for comfort on a long trip.

    Try before you buy.

I have a '12 v Three with Softex added in a kit that was a Toyota part number. I find them comfortable and I've driven 200+ miles trips with no problems (I'm 73 with a bad back.).

OTOH, there are some who say that they are uncomfortable.

Depends on your body type I guess. And somewhat what you are used to. And how you like the seat positioned.

FWIW we have taken some rather long road trips in our 2016 Prius v Three since we bought it back in early June. One 3900 miles or so trip this past summer, a 1000+ mile trip in October and recently a bit over 2100 miles in the last month, and have not had issues with comfort at all. As noted by mikefocke I also believe its related to your body type, seat alignment/adjustments, etc, etc...etc. My wife and I are both young 70ish, or near 70ish, folks..
