My Prius has that radar thing behind the emblem and I need to get it replaced along with the front bumper new its 500 and the bumper maybe 250. I found some used ones around that have the same color. My question is there a way to visually determine if the emblem is the correct one for the radar or not?

    Thanks

No, Prii that have silver only emblems don't have the DRCC. in 2016, TSS-P was optional.

Err.. all hybrids are black/blue so you can't use that as a differentiation.

But using @randomwalk101 's picture above, you see the non-radar emblem is raised and is metal/chromed. Those DRCC will have a flat emblem like the 2nd photo @pilotgrrl had above.

Besides the obvious physical difference @Tideland Prius kindly describes, both the radar-compatible (53141-47030) and non-radar (75310-47060) versions of the emblem assembly have the part number molded on the back, at least in the photos I’ve seen.

Keep in mind, if the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced, you (or a dealer or repair shop) will need to do the beam axis adjustment procedure given in the Repair Manual. This requires a level surface with a 5 m × 6 m open area in front of the vehicle, a Toyota Techstream diagnostic system, and the Reflector C (09870-60040) and Stand Base (09870-60010) special service tools.

Ok good. I've been lucky in that people have been hitting my rear bumper and not my front bumper (with the IPA sensors and radar emblem).

The IPA parks crooked sometimes due to the slightly misaligned rear bumper. Not looking forward to a Gen 4/Prime or similar that has ICS or BSM/RCTA. Any bumper damage may require a realignment or a new bumper.

But with the Gen 4's PCS there's less chance of damaging your bumper. ;)(y)

oh I wasn't talking about me. I haven't hit anything.

Front left corner - supermarket (scratch)
Front left corner (below the one above) - street parking. Caught the person looking at my bumper but I was in a forgiving mode so I let her go. She gave me her business card anyway in case I change my mind
Rear left fender - hit and run (street). This is the one that put the rear bumper out of alignment
Rear left corner - hit and run and left a decent dent in it. (car park)
Rear right corner - Who knows.. probably supermarket
