Yes but you are assuming that it's merely stuck there. We, however, have no way of disproving that it was not implanted by some higher authority.

How old is your daughter? I'll explain the rules to her personally, if need be. :)
You needed to cajole Windstrings or someone to nominate you...

Actually, I like your avatar a lot. Even if a Prius has 2 HP, not just 1. :p

On the udder hand, the theme is clearly, how shall we say, "evolutionary" in concept, so all your posts should be over on that U. of Kansas ID thread. Too hot for here.

    HOLD ON HERE! TILT!

The PC Electoral Commission has been huddling since maggie's revised avatar went up. The issues are weighty indeed.

Is this simply a permissible campaign tactic, with an innocent penguin symbolically acting as a proxy for maggie's free speech?

Or is it a diabolical, even desperate last minute ploy to erase the "real" avatar, the one on which maggie (and her cloying little friends) has waged her campaign lo these many days, from the minds of the electorate, to be supplanted instead by this new, enhanced image: in short, trying TO STEAL THE ELECTION???

Members of the Commission have consulted with experts, including TonyPSchaefer of Chicagoland, well known for last-minute political surprises; and with Mystery Squid, Kiloran, tag, bigdaddy, aka007ii and others well-versed in the techniques AND IMPACT of image manipulation.

Is there irreperable damage to the electoral process? Can it be undone?

And what about Bill Merchant (if he exists)? Why haven't we heard from him? Is he lying on the floor of some campaign HQ/hotel room in Oregon, dazed and incoherent by this turn of events, even to the point of being unable to post and raise possible complaints? Or is he out pruning his roses, blissfully unaware of what has taken place until later tonight?

    Stay tuned.

The Electoral Commission wants to know if there are any attorneys here.

Well, I'm not an attorney, but I could play one on TV. And the Beaujolais sounds nice, too.

Now, before I go on, I wish to point out that I wasn't consulted as one of these so-called "experts" like Zapp, Christine's "driver," and tag (reminds me of some kind of "spray" product that supposedly attracts women). No... no hard feelings there. None at all.

But I'm gonna give you my opinion anyway, whether you read it or not.

Yes, the addition to Maggie's avatar seems like it may be some kind of underhanded political trick, like that ever happens. On the other paw, with Maggie's insight (no, not the car!) into the juxtaposition of HSD and ICE-only vehicles and the allusion to penguins-at-play, it is therefore unmistakable that the addition of the logo in question to the avatar on record is merely an emphatic device of sorts, and thus should not be grounds for dismissal of said avatar from the contest at hand.

    I rest my case.

The Electoral Commission finds in favor of the estimable barrister.

    Let the run-off voting begin!

Well, I guess I won't be asking for that for Christmas.....

You know, this is a really fun way to keep a now-pointless thread alive. And it gives me a chance to play catch-up with Jack and his 1,484 posts.

    Yeah, right!

Brian, I like your avatar, too. And the F OPEC license plate. Wish I could get that one here in CA (it's in Nevada), but they won't do it.

My '06 plate will read: 4 GEEKS

I need to ask Boxster if he made his, or where it came from. I laughed hard when I first saw that one.

I've been thinking about a vanity plate, but it's an extra $50 per year here. (Is that normal?) Some of my ideas:
    FEW FUMS
    SYNERGY
    CHIMERA
    PREE-YUS

That's about what it is in Colorado. I was thinking about using GOFRTHR but didn't want to seem smug.

I like this word for both its Prius-related and broader meanings. It's 21st Century.

Vanity plates are $30 annually in CA after an initial hit of $50.

I couldn't sleep all night and I woke up early to see the results. So, have I been disqualified?
    Is my reputation ruined?
