My front brakes started squealing from the inner pads feeler gauges hitting the rotors. But the outer pads still have about 70% of the pads left. The inner pads were down to about 1.5 mm even on both sides. Car has 250K miles on it and they are the original brake pads.

So FYI, if this is typical of this caliper setup your brake pads may be more worn than you think.

The rear drum shoes were 2 to 3mm so they've another 75K miles easily before they have to be replaced.

Redid the front brakes yesterday. New rotors, pads, shim, and slider hardware.

You can see the inner pad thickness, looking through the little "window" on caliper shoulder. Sounds like neglected caliper pins btw.
