Water pump replacement 2016

    The water pump not coming out like in Gen 3. It seems very tight space now just a millimeter small. What has changed? Do we remove engine just to remove the water pump now?

    I think the point of "not coming out like in Gen 3" was that, in Gen 3, it comes out, and in Gen 4, it ... doesn't.

    The repair manual straight-up says to pull the engine and transaxle in order to remove the water pump, in Gen 4.

    Yeah I was able to get it out by removing the engine mount bolts and moving the engine about 2-3 inches down with floor jack holding it and it came out.

    Are the engine mount bolts located by the passenger wheel well?

    Yes. I think there are two bolts. You might not need to remove the three bolts holding the base of the mount. But I did remove them and it might not be necessary to remove them.
