LOL, sorry to hear you had witnesses to your accident! Happens to the best of us, trust me. RTR stands for Ready To Run. It means that it's not a kit you have to build. Just take it out of the box and go play with it (they come with the remote). Otherwise, there are kits you build in which you then need to also buy a remote. No, I don't get any commisions from whatever people buy there. If you did choose to buy from us, you get to race for free in the Novice Class (once you feel you have enough of a hang on driving, you can move out of that class), get a free t-shirt, and free tech support. And you get to laugh at me when I crash into a wall. LOL. Online catalog is found on www.atomichobby.com (click on the Catalog button). Located in Issaquah on Gilman Blvd, next to GI-Joe. Fall Hours Sunday: 12-5pm Monday-Friday: 11-8pm Saturday: 10-6pm If I missed something, do ask and I'll provide the info!
STAR!! i looked through all the gas RTR cars and i didnt see the Prius... umm... are you trying to tell me that it also has a 5½ month waiting list??
That, sadly, is the greatest downfall of RC... no Prius bodies! I keep looking for them whenever we get a shipment of bodies.
Maybe you could get a big sheet of Shrinky Dink plastic, heat it enough to be able to mold it over someone's Prius, then find a big oven and shrink it to RC size I know nothing about RCs so help me out a bit here, what is the difference between a $280 1/10 RTR and a $100 1/10 RTR? Also, where is the picture of Starbug on the Atomic Hobby site?? Surely if you are giving them free press here, they should highlight you on their site
i have a tomy Prius that is 1/40th scale, i think (its about the size of a hotwheels or something) can you put a motor in it?
Heeeyyyy, good idea! Anyone want to donate their Prius for a few mins? I'll go get the shrink wrap! Difference between a $280 RTR and a $100 RTR is that the the more expensive one comes with an electronic speed-control instead of a mechanical one. Electronic is better: smoother, more acurate. Think Prius drive-by-wire tech vrs. standard rack & pinion found in normal cars. As for where the pic of me is on the site.....I'm not telling where it is!
You've got a Tomy Prius?!?!?!?! You mean somebody out there made a Prius model?! WOOOO!! :multi: I take it that this is a static non-moving model (like Diecast)? I suppose there might be a way to put a motor into it.... somebody mechanically-inclined could probably figure it out. Would be a fun project to see if it could be done.
The Lexus that is listed on your website. it has no pic and is listed as out of stock... costs about $340 or so i think. (poor memory) its a RTR gas ... ummm... ya know what i mean? as for my "other" Prius... here is a pic http://priuschat.com/forums/album_pic.php?pic_id=838
I drove a mini in '68. A friend at school had one. Beyond cool. That car cornered like it was on rails. Can't have much more fun out side of horizontal indoors. One of the great cars. I have not driven a "new" mini I can only hope it lives up to its history. I guess I should try one but I doubt that any sales person would let me drive one the way I would like to.
did you see the "Italian Job" the mini cooper Charlize Theron drove could make corners almost as tight as the driver herself... (i did say ALMOST) and yes Star i want to!!!
OMG, your tiny model Prius is CUTE! Where did you get it?! Ah, yes, the Nitro Raxor XT Pro... yes it is sadly out of stock. Might be a while before we can get more. Not sure how long. Spoke to the boss about discounts and stuff. He said if 10 people came in to buy car kits he could hook you all up with some deals. Do we have 10 interested people? Come on guys, Prius Club RC rally! Oh, speaking of which, if we pick a Sunday for our second meet he'll make sure to hold a race for us so we can hash it out with lots of people. See, now you all need RC cars too....
LOL... I wish I could get behind the wheel of a real mini. I guess my fearsome RC Mini Cooper of DOOM will have to do for now. Atta boy! Give in the the desire! Get a Mini! They are a real kick in the pants. The most fun is had in the Mini Cooper Class. I've got mini coopers all over the place. Got one on my keychain too.
ummm i ordered it from a company someone posted a link for here in this forum http://www.supergreattomica.info/buy/displ...lay.asp?cty=jpn you can try this link... better yet, check out this post... http://priuschat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?...&highlight=tomy check out the file link download... a must see...
I will check out the links tomorrow after work. I need to get up early for an RC demonstration with my boss. We're going to get approval with the Issaquah Community Center tomorrow so that we can use the place for indoor racing during the winter. Wish us luck! And now, off to bed...
OK then, we'll have to guess. You said you were short, so maybe this one Starbug?? or Short compared to this guy or Can't tell height in this picture or maybe you are hanging with the bird?? ;-)
