We have not had a good Squirrel thread in awhile

Now my dog went to bark at the squirrel. She is convinced its right outside the window.

 

Now we need a squirrels-and-cats thread. Ours can't have produced the only three ring circus show. Somebody must have captured video of squirrels leaping over one cat while running from two others.

 

This photo was taken by me. The story: last winter, a huge sheet of ice plummeted down my girlfriend's roof taking off the roof of her bird feeder (amongst other damage, but that's another story). Between the time of tearing the roof off the sucker and getting the feeder replaced, this happened:

 

Isn't that a squirrel proof bird feeder? :madgrin:

 

WAS a squirrel-proof feeder.

 

Squirrels are incredibly resourceful at getting into feeders, but this is first time I've heard of one triggering a major ice fall to crack open the feeder.

It probably prayed to the snow gods to create that roof ice sheet too, for the specific purpose of cracking open this feeder.
