Does anyone know if the Weathertech 2017 Prime custom floor matts would fit the 2018 model?

I would say yes...why would toyota change anything?

Anyways, the oem all season mats have really good coverage. If oem is cheaper (online) I would pick those

Should be the same. But I would really recommend the OEM all weather mats for the Prime. I have used WeatherTech mats in all my previous vehicles and the OEM ones for the Prime are quite good for my needs. You can see the edges are raised. Now for my 4Runner, that's a different story. I need more coverage that WeatherTech provides. 1520290278756.jpg

Ditto, I picked up my all weather mats for quite a discount online, on ebay from a dealer of all people. They are so useful that I've pretty much left them year round now. Perfect fit! I just track in too much stuff throughout the year to worry about the mats.

There should be no difference between the floor layouts between 2017's and 2018's. I will guess that the 2019 will also be the same. You can always call the customer service hotline at WeatherTech, though at this early stage in 2018, they might not have updated the database for the new year.

I've got the WeatherTech all-weather set, F and R for my 2017 Prime. They do have the raised edges all around. I was somewhat displeased with the WT full set for my Gen3 Prius, but WT raised the bar for the Prime. Much improved coverage, and I haven't noticed any spill-over after a full winter here. The lock-in 90 degree turn clips work well. My wife has OEM all weather mats for her Lexus. I can't speak for the Toyota OEM's, but the Lexus mats don't cover the area in front of the accelerator and brake pedals at all. Bad problem with ice and muck dripping off the bottom of shoes up on the carpet. The WT does cover the pedal area super well, and it is a HUGE difference.

Toyota just raised the price for their all-weather mat set, according to the new 2018 price schedule on the US website. Don't know about other country prices.

I'm lucky enough that WeatherTech is just quick EV only trip down the road from me. Also, a deluxe free coffee bar too! Great people.

Oh, and there are Toyota dealers on Amazon selling the Toyota OEM standard and all-weather mats for less than the normal (cough cough) prices they'll charge you at the dealership parts counter. I got my OEM wheel caps that way.

How come the Prius Prime OEM all weather floor mat is embossed with the image of The Star Trek Horta?

It does have some of those bumps on it, doesn't it?

Or the trilobite-looking space faring creature from STNG's Galaxy's Child episode. The thing that Jordi and Dr. Leah Brahms attempt to disengage from the Enterprise's hull?

I agree with you on WeatherTech. My only option at the time was OEM, they didn't have them in 2016.

I used to buy stuff from them for my Gen 2, long ago when they were in Downers Grove.

Do it. The showroom is incredible. Vintage trucks, motorcycles, memorabilia, the aforementioned free coffee bar.

By chance do you know if OEM rubber matts in USA are available in light grey colour, as they were for GEN3? I have the black OEM ones, and I deeply dislike them.

I just purchased the 2017 Prius Prime custom matts and they fit the 2018 perfectly.

I have Weathertech in Odyssey and Accord, but yes OEM one for Prime is just as good as.

Plus I assume every Prime has OEM mats by defult, isn't it?

    No.

I think the car comes without either carpet or mats.

My 2018 premium came with Toyota branded mats and cargo liner.

From the factory, no carpet or all-weather mats.
BUT, the port installs one or the other on most of the cars I've seen offered around New England so they show-up at the dealer with mats.

In Canada, they came with branded floor matts and Toyota all-weather matts. However, the all weather matts are different than the version in the states and does not have the leaf and does not mold to the sides of the floor board.

Canadian version also didn't came with a trunk liner too!

Plus the Toyota all-weather matts are super heavy. The weathertech is approx 1/3 the weight.

I’ll bet that your invoice reflected their additional cost.

    Yes!

I bought the white version, floormats and cargo liner cost $250, white paint costs $350. My Premium sticker price is ~$30335.

I don't think there is a Prime without OEM mats/liner at my dealership, they have close to 50 Primes at the time.

I ordered my Prime Advanced and specifically told them that I did not want any floor mats or deck cover. And that's the way it arrived. I picked up my WT floor liners F&R from the WT showroom in Bolingbrook. I am considering a deck cover as my next purchase from them, along with a set of their brand new titanium license plate holders.
