Yea, I used that one, but I rather do it for the subforum I am in. :) That way I don't wipe out everything. The only other thing I have missed is when I go 'back', it shows me the current 'unread' versus the last cached mode.

    I'm resistant to change.
    Therefore I say....
    Aaaaaaaa!
I'll reserve judgement until I climatize.

Ah, now I see... That nav menu for 'Forums' then 'Mark Forums Read' will be for the current forum as well as all forums. Does not come off as intuitive and click on the 'Forums' part will also pin people back to the forums, hence it didn't seem as natural on the Prius v forums, as in example, compared to the Newbie Area.

Not so much. Why do all my previous posts not show the images that were originally attached? All that is showing is a stoooopid icon. Yep, I'm complaining.

I have to admit, I did not like the new format much when it first showed up this afternoon. But having clicked around and tried to read and post, I find it much faster than the old software. That's a big deal! I'm getting used to it now and starting to like it. I see that the email notifications now include the text of the post, thank you!

One other suggestion is to make the blue dot for going to first unread post bigger. It used to be the start button icon. Can we get that back? I find myself missing the blue dot and hitting the thread starter username more often than not with the small dot icon.

Anyway, thanks for the hard work getting it working and making fast fixes to the slew of "suggestions" coming in!

Search function on forums appears to not work (no results report back on basic word submissions). Is this a known problem?

Rectangle Avatars would be cool to have. Also can we get a bunch of smileys like we used to have?

Until today at 7:30am the site was not available.
Then, I do not receive email notifications on the watched threads.....

I'll give it some more time, to try to make sure I'm not just reacting to the newness of the whole thing. BUT my initial impression is not good. While the software may be faster the entire site just seems less "friendly".

Of course 'friendly" is a subjective evaluation, but while I'd say specific access to specific threads or area's is somewhat improved, everything seems smaller and harder to read.

I liked the old sites, front page, with news. The new "home" page, seems less inviting, and more just like a spreadsheet. It just seems less dynamic.

People are resistant to change. I am no exception. So like I said, I'll give it some time. But if you want my honest initial impression, all mostly just reactionary and admittedly subjective? My initial impression is I just don't like the way it looks, and even how it can be used, even though it does allow for greater flexibility and more specific tailoring to exactly what forum or area you want to discuss or investigate.

Maybe with time I'll just become more familiar and come to like it better. I hope.

Sorry if this is already asked. Where is the user CP? I need to access the folders where I sorted my subscriptions and PMs. The folders used to be on the left hand side of the user CP. Thanks!

How do I find the list for unread posts and does it give a running total like it did before?

I'm a complete luddite when it comes to change like this.

I saw where Dianne asked the question about how to make the last thread show up first so you do not have to scroll to find it but did not see an answer.

Is there a way to make the last thread show first like with the old version?

    Thanks

The main advantage I see is that PCers now have a whole new topic to whine about. We are good at that; in fact we need it.

    :D

The front page is not nearly done, so please don't judge the site based on that, and please don't judge the site based on the way this thread looks and the way other threads in the "News" forum look. I'm going to work on improving that.

I'm not sure if the new software supports superscript, but your username used to be Rªzª, right? Do you know what your user id was (the #)?

Everyone is looking for the "What's New" link - it is the same as the "View New Posts" link from the old PC: Recent Threads | PriusChat

And here's a fun new view: Recent Activity | PriusChat
Using that link you can view everything that's going on across the whole site - who is liking what post, what photos are being posted, etc.

In the old forum format, I was able to collapse subsections that didn't interest me (like Prius c, Prius v, Gen II, etc.), which made navigating much easier/cleaner. I can't figure out how to collapse in the new format--is it possible?

I reallized that the search by author returns just few posts (in my case only 5) and for some users nothing (they have a proper count on profile page). The index do not finish yet?
