    @bisco do the work:whistle:?

He seems still smitten with his PIP:).

Maybe he’ll have the mechanic down the road do it but since es only got 40k miles in the ICE, might be awhile:cool:.

@m.wynn just did his egr circuit at around 40k miles and just a light dusting :).

At that mileage I told him he channeled his inner @Mendel Leisk :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

Are you saying these are pics from a Gen3 with only 38k miles on it?
The EGR cooler looks spotless compared to other pics. This must be your 'After cleaning' pic, correct?

I wish I had the time to take apart a car with only 38k miles on it just for the fun of it....;)

But, but,, are these before or after pictures? It's not apparent to me...(n)

Still, 38k miles? Nope, I have more fun activities to do!!!:D

That's why I love driving a BEV. I don't have to work on it, ever! I hate popping the hood to add washer fluid.:p

What's the mileage on yours, 185K miles? It'll be ripe.

Don’t forget he falls into the blissful ignorance category ;).

My bet is if the seal is broken, he’ll see or understand the “why”(y).

    That is the question:
"Why" does a choked down EGR system target the head gasket? How is it technically explained?

    Airline employee.
I hate winters as much as you do, Bro!
At least I don't have to deal with Up-State NY winters!

    Hey!
It's 83° in Key West right now!
I wanted to go there this weekend since the GF's passport is not current.
Instead I'm meeting an old pal that has more miles in a Prius than you, I, eagle and mendel have combined!
Do you think he does that dikin under hood as often as you do? That'd be maybe 3 times a year!
I'll let you know his maintenance program....

    You could drive there!
We could meet up and talk about tearing apart a 38k mile engine that is barely out of B2B warranty!
I'll buy you a Marg at Margaritaville!:)

edit: Truth be told, I will eventually clean all EGR and Intake manifold gunk and install an Oil Catch Can.
(I had two TDI's and I know clogged up EGR and Intakes better than you gassers. Those really needed the OCC)
I just can't understand why it's the end of the world--I mean-- Head Gasket if I put this off.
I'm fairly certain my engine is not on the verge of detonation everywhere I drive. I'm not getting cold start knocking. And I will do it with lots of Data Gathering before and after.
