On the Toyota.ca website, under - "all vehicles/future vehicles and concepts", at the top is a Prius? Strange front end, with "vents" on each side. Anyone know what it is?

I think it looks like the silver Camry in the left picture.

EDIT See post 11. It is a Mirai "concept car" Canada must not expect the Mirai to actually come to its market.

The car (on the left) with the grin like a 'horse eating briars' .... looks like an Avalon to me. I'm guessing the red on the right is a Camry??

According to this Canadian page, it is a Camry.
Future Vehicles & Concepts - Toyota Canada

It is interesting they list the Merai as only a concept vehicle.

^ Thanks for the link. (y)

Geez, what a monotonous parade of bizarre front ends. The only one I remotely like is the U2:

I do agree it is a bazaar of bizarre front ends.

The US folks here must be so likable that the International users insist on escaping the International part of this forum :D

EDIT I made that first statement because Mendel used "bazaar" when he meant "bizarre".

The rear of the hypersonic red future vehicle (Camry) looks like the new Honda Civic. Interesting how auto manufacturers all seem to arrive at the same design with each generation. They probably send out spies to copy the latest style. At any rate, the front of both these models ugly ugly ewww ugly. Why?

I will not bicker with Toyota Canada .... but it sure looks like an Avalon to me. I own a 2015 Avalon, and it sure looks like a mild makeover to me. It'll be interesting to see.

I thought the Avalon was designed as a larger luxury version of the Camry. Who is copying who?

You mean this one don't you - that's nothing like the AVALON or CAMRY others have mentioned:
    upload_2017-3-11_9-48-45.png

    It's a MIRAI FCV - hydrogen car, isn't it?

    You are correct.
The Mirai is listed on that page as a Concept car, not a Future car.
    Sorry for my error.

Which is unusual - I understood that it's actually for sale in some markets - California and Japan at least. Maybe future for Canada?

If it were Future, it would be listed as Future, much like the Prime.

But it's not a CONCEPT either - unless Californian owners are just "guinea pigging" (is that a word?) for TOYOTA?

    It's the Mirai fuel cell.

It's not available in Canada, that's why it's listed as "future/concept". Same as Prime.

    "It's the Mirai fuel cell."

Okay .... I'll accept what you say. But there are differences between the pictures at the Mirai and the one at the top of this thread. Concept model and Production??

And what is the vehicle on the left? that I guessed was an Avalon.

The photos in post #2 are of the new Camry. It comes with two front ends depending on trim. I think the one with the Miraish side vents is a the sports one.

Camry, Avalon, Mirai. They are basically the same, wrt chassis and steel metal. Big Toyota boats. I got an invitation from toyota to drive the Mirai when it came to my town. It was like a Prius on steroids. Big and lumbering with a huge gaping grille. It looked ridiculous and handled poorly. I made it fishtail and skid to a stop on the test route!

There are limited number of hydrogen refueling stations in the Bay Area, and fewer outside. You really have to want to get behind the hydrogen promise to buy or lease this vehicle.
